"I enjoy working with players of all levels. I find that each situation brings with it a different creative circumstance that forces me as a coach to look for innovative training techniques. My job is to motivate every player to perform above expectations and to foster a life long appreciation for the beautiful game. I want all my players to appreciate the great paradoxes of sports and more importantly I want them to see the connection between sports and life so that they can apply the skills that I teach them, to generate success in all aspects of their lives."

SAQ Philosophy

Most fitness boot camps focus on repetitive exercise. Participants are asked to run, jump, and perform other varied calisthenic exercises to the level of fatigue. While these programs do facilitate weight loss, the bottom line is they can be boring. The idea behind Soccer Boot Camp is to merge the concept of a boot camp workout experience with the competitive game of soccer.

The workout is a unique mix of pre-season conditioning drills (designed to burn fat and increase strength and stamina) as well as soccer drills that will improve overall skills and patterns of play. This is an ideal program for people of all fitness levels. From those who are serious about the sport of soccer, but have few opportunities to play in an organized setting to parents of younger players who are looking to develop a better understanding of the game Soccer (while staying in shape).

There is no more strenuous game than soccer in terms of developing overall fitness, strength, and coordination. The end result is that Soccer Boot Camp will get you into the shape of your life.

Each session starts with a basic warm up. The warm up uses innovative SAQ conditioning drills to replicate soccer specific movements and intensities, targeting tendons and ligaments that do not get conditioned in usual aerobic runs. The next phase of the session introduces the ball. From here work is done on fundamental soccer drills that are required by players at any level. Finally, the session is closed with a small sided scrimmage that looks to utilize the prior drills in a game situation.
